The second SUMC Meet takes us to Yorkshire. Far in the north of England, but as a club rule states, it always takes us 6 hours to drive to the destination. Finally we have found a scout’s hut where we will sleep for this weekend. One really nice thing about the society, whenever we go for meets, we stay in scout’s huts. We all sleep on the floor so it is cheap, but fun. There is always fun on the meets, many games and activities in the evening. When you finally fall asleep you appreciate the warmth of your sleeping bag. In the morning there is nothing better than Mike Spooner who wakes you up with a hot English Tea. Then comes a porridge breakfast and everybody packs and get ready for a day full of adventures and some great climbing!
Yorkshire is an amazing place to go climbing, so far my favorite SUMC trip.
